A Rainy DayIn these images, I took them at a stream near my house. On rainy days like in this photo, the stream is filled up with lots of water flowing through it and I thought this was an interesting landscape to add, considering I am very connected to this area because when I was younger, I would explore the forests and I would usually fall into this stream by accident! Overall, I thought this would be a very good example of what a rainy day looks like in Michigan.Sitting DuckOn Sunday afternoon, I drove my moped around to the Huron river to see if I could find any wildlife that I could take a picture of along with a good water landscape. I happened to come across this duck sitting in the middle of the water and I thought it would be a great addition to my landscape. These images helped really show the life around the river and the arrangement of certain objects.Floating DriftwoodAs I walked up the paths on the Huron River, I found these pieces of driftwood washed on the shore and I thought this would be a great shot of the river as well. I feel like this image just gives a gloomy feeling to it, considering the weather conditions this photo was taken in and the dark waters as well. The rocks were also super cool and turned out to be a great design with the oil paint being added to it as well. These images really stood out to me and the emotions in this image really also showed as well.Marshy SwampI kept driving around near the Huron river where I stopped off to the side of the road and found this very small trail. I continued to follow it to the point where I found this swampy forest. These pictures turned out great and surprisingly these images really gave this lonely vibe to it as if your all alone in the woods, waiting for something to sneak up on you.Awkward FlowersFinally, I drove my moped to Birdhills, where I was immediately greeted with these flowers, which they felt really out of place considering there were no other flowers near them. I continued to walk where I found these tall pine trees that were overlooking the river. These images really gave me a peaceful vibe and looking at these images put my mind at ease. |
